Wake Up With Me...
Normally on the weekends I look forward to the opportunity to sleep in a little and start my day with a nice, big cup of coffee. That is, unless I have a photo shoot. It's not every day that I have a client willing to wake up really early to catch the sunrise, so I take full advantage of it when it happens. I had talked with Amber about doing a ranch boudoir shoot and had these images in my mind of her beautiful strawberry blonde hair being lit up by the morning sun. When she said she'd rather do a morning shoot, I jumped on it.
We met bright and early at six a.m. and rushed to the ranch to catch as much of the warm, summer sunrise as we could. While she unloaded Nacho from the trailer and began changing clothes, I went about getting my camera ready and opening up the pasture gate. Before I could even get started with either, I felt something in my pants. I tried to shake it out but nothing happened, so I laughed out loud and told Amber that something was in my pants and that they were coming off. Thankfully I've grown up with Amber and I am also not a shy person, so dropping my pants at a photo shoot wasn't that big of a deal. I removed the culprit from my pants and went about getting ready for our shoot.
Everything about the remainder of our shoot went off beautifully (minus me losing a hair extension which I just shoved in my back pocket and kept shooting. I'm a hot mess guys but fun to shoot with!). Her and Nacho killed every setting and every pose (well, Nacho spent most of the time eating but still lol) and the photos just turned out so perfect. Amber is such a naturally beautiful woman and fun to be around and so easy to have a conversation with. Wrapping up the session and spending the next half an hour just catching up really brought the most perfect shoot to a close and it was easily one of my favorite sessions that I have ever done.
If you ever have the chance to shoot first thing in the morning with me, definitely take it. The photos speak for themselves and you never know what my hot mess will end up doing at the shoot. I will try my best not to have to drop my pants at your session, but no promises!
