That 'Bigger and Better' Mindset
Tis the season where we tend to take a look back on the last year we've lived and evaluate what we'd change or continue. Looking back on the last year of Fernweh Photography, I feel an immense sense of accomplishment, success, honor and truly blessed.
2022 blessed me with the opportunity to do 51 separate photo shoots. Here is a little behind the scenes look at those shoots:

How AMAZING to have the opportunity to photograph so many beautiful occasions and people this year. I can never thank any of you enough for choosing me to photograph you and your loved ones and the memories and milestones of your lives.
I do need to extend a HUGE thank you to the 8 woman who represented my Boudoir business this year. You ladies really made my entire year and photographing you was so special for me. I don't know if you really know it or not but you ladies mean the world to me and having you along on this journey to grow and flourish as a photographer really means so much to me. After quitting my terribly toxic 9-5 job in April, you ladies were my drive and motivation to really pour my heart into my business and your company and support really helped me in a very hard transition in my life.
I have really tried to spend 2022 learning and growing as a photographer and after looking at the numbers, I think the future of Fernweh lies in Boudoir. Boudoir shoots have my heart. To have the ability to photograph women, men or couples and capture the vulnerability and emotion and fire inside them is the most satisfying feeling I have ever had. I cannot stress enough how much I love boosting women's confidence or how fun it is to capture a couple together in such an intimate setting. If I have the ability to provide an hour in front of the camera to boost someone's self esteem and confidence, I will.
With all of that being said, Fernweh Photography is going to look a little different in 2023. Here are a few business goals that I am throwing into the universe (manifesting this shit!!!) and how things will look moving forward:
- Focusing primarily on Boudoir for 2023. I will still absolutely photograph your families, weddings and other sweet milestones but my main focus is on Boudoir.
- New Brand Ambassador Programs for 2023!! Stay tuned!
- Creating my own studio space!!! EEEKKK so excited for this one.
I feel that the future of Fernweh Photography is to provide a more luxury boudoir experience and be able to boost those confidence levels in others, so that's what I am going to aim to do. Success is on the horizon and I believe that Fernweh Photography can escalate to an entirely different level and I am going to do anything and everything in my power to make sure that it happens.
I am so thankful for those that have joined me on this journey and I look forward to new faces and experiences showcased in my camera lens in the New Year.
